sandhan valley trek

Introduction:

Sandhan Valley is among the Sahyadri mountain ranges’ most spectacular canyons. It’s an excellent mix of a gorge and a valley. Sandhan Valley, situated inside the Nagar district near the historic fort Ratangad, is unquestionably the valley with suspense.

Water-carved

The water-carved canyon is 200 feet thick and almost two kilometres long. Walking through a narrow swath of valley with 200-foot-high stone walls on both sides is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The complete Sandhan valley descent is always a great adventure, as well as the overnight stay along the lake side under the dazzling sky is the icing on the cake.

Location

it is located at the western edge. The 5400-foot Ratangad, Ajoba, and Kalsubai Peaks are the highest points in Maharashtra’s mountain ranges.

Rappelling:

It is less than three feet wide in some areas, while sun rays are unable to reach the ground in others.  In the winter, the water level is up to the waist, while in the summer, it is down to the knees. The view of steep cliffs & deep valleys from the valley’s end is breathtaking. You must climb down one patch with a maximum height of 45 feet, as well as the well-known Sandhan Valley stone patches. We should be using ropes to rappel down the two little rock patches. You’ll see some flat land after descending down a second rock patch, where we can spend the night. Here the water is not good for human as the level of the water is too high. The walk to Valley is distinctive and memorable because of the uncommon opportunity to watch the movement of stars and shooting stars in the night sky through an aperture formed by 15 feet in diameter and 200 feet in length walls. There is very little light pollution in the valley at night. Using an apple when camping in the Valley, you can easily observe and recognise constellations, planets, and much more. Those who have tried before want to try again, but few individuals have attempted this step because it is regarded extremely difficult.  this trek will give you experience that you will never forget and you will gain life long memories.
