Different Components In Automation Anywhere?

Processes with high amounts of repetitive tasks, manual data entry, and high FTE numbers are generally good candidates for RPA. Having an automated central workforce that can complete entire business processes without incurring high costs can significantly boost an organization’s productivity and efficiency.

When building your first bot, the power of automation is immediately apparent. Organizations can significantly increase transaction speed by automating data transfers, importing/exporting files, data entry, and OCR file reading.

Ease of Usage

The main “selling point” of ubiquitous automation is its simplicity. Because of the platform’s simple drag-and-drop system, new users don’t need any programming language to create robots.

  • Additionally, users can explore multiple training modules that help teach best practices and tips and lay the foundation for becoming a functional developer.
  • Automation Anywhere has a great support team and an active user community, both of which are eager to help those with questions that are more advanced than tutorial modules.
  • Automation has progressed far beyond simple macros and is now available in platforms ranging from single-user to enterprise-grade robotic process automation, also known as RPA.

The Automation Anywhere RPA platform provides a robust solution for automating business processes with simple bots trained by recording manual operations. And the Automation Ubiquitous Web Control Room is critical in creating an environment conducive to bots performing various automated tasks.

What is the Web Control Room in the Automation Anywhere Platform?

The Web Control Room is a centralized web-based server of the Automation Anywhere RPA platform known as the Enterprise Control Room.

  • It allows you to monitor, deploy, and schedule bots from anywhere and at any time.
  • Enterprise Control Room should be installed on a dedicated server and provide users with browser-based access to monitor and administer large, multi-site complex automation infrastructure with improved collaboration and productivity.
  • By uploading/downloading MetaBots and MetaBots-enabled tasks, the Web Control Room can scale multiple client and user environments.
  • Control Room is installed on a data center server and can communicate with servers/components in other data centers.

The Control Room contains objects that serve various functions, such as Centralized Automation Deployment, Centralized Access Control, and Collaboration of Centralized Workforce Management.

What are the Web Control Room Components?

Automation Anywhere’s web control room contains various components needed to create and train bots for automation.

  • Control Room Settings
  • License Management
  • Support Site
  • User Profile
  • Features Panel

Recognizing Web Control Room’s Settings

Users with administrative privileges can configure and update Control Room Settings such as the Repository Path, Web Socket Service, Control Room Access URL, Version Control, Outgoing Mail Server, Email Notifications, Credential Vault, and URLs for App Management.

License Administration

The Control Room Administrator can manage the installation, distribution, and allocation of licenses to clients using the License Management component.

  • Setup of a New License
  • Allocation of Licenses

The purchase and subsequent license allocation are dependent on the Enterprise Client type, which must be defined as Development or Runtime.

Support Site

Users can access the Control Room’s server support platform by clicking on the top right corner of the Control Room panel. It enables users to interact with various components and commands of the control room.

User Profile

This component displays the current user who is accessing the Web Control Room.

Features Panel

Users can view and access all Control Room commands required to manage a bot from the Features Panel.

  • Enhance and simplify monitoring and administration
  • Access and manage tasks as well as clients/users.
  • Monitors the Bots’ task progress and status.
  • Upload and download vision-capable IQ bots.

Bots in the Automation Anywhere Platform RPA Platform

Bot Creator: This program serves as the development environment. Developers create rule-based automation by dragging and dropping them into the control room, and then into deployment if applicable.

Control Room: This is the central location for all your RPA robots. From the control room, robots can be started, paused, stopped, or programmed. Can be pushed to the control room and retrieved. Credentials and audit logs can also be stored here.

Bot Runner: It does exactly what the name suggests: it runs robots on dedicated machines. It looks similar to the Bot Creator component, but its primary function is to run bots. The control room is informed about the status of the bot runner operation from start to finish.

Task Bot: The task bot is the most common of the three. Repetitive processes, following rules,  and containing structured data are best suited for this robot type.

Meta Bot: Bot is the most common and efficient of the three. A meta pod is a reusable part that any robot can use independently. Instead of rewriting unnecessary code for processes, a meta bot can be used. Highly sophisticated scalable operations are well suited for this type of robot.
